I recently downloaded osp tourney 2.5 to run my own dedicated server when i want to play. I changed the map rotations in the mapcfg of the game type i am using but when the map changes the bots fail to load and i get these errors in the server window for some maps aswell......


fatal : no AAs file available
AAs shutdown
gladiator.dll not available

The AAS files are what the bots use to navigate the map. Each map that needs to support the bots needs to have one of these. They'll share their filenames with that of the map, so if you have like tourney/maps/q2dm1.bsp, you'll need a tourney/q2dm1.aas (I think the AAS files go in the mod folder, not sure; it's been a while since I've messed with Gladiator bots).

The "gladiator.dll not available" I think means that you don't have the Gladiator bot add-on installed. Some OSP Tourney packages include it but yours apparently did not. It might give you that error if the appropriate AAS file is missing, I don't remember. Fix your AAS issue if you can and see if you still get the missing dll message.


BTW NEWBS: Gladiator bot is not a hack. It's a bot like the Eraser bot, so you can play multiplayer when you're by yourself.

i finally got it all up and running, the only problem i am having is the setmaster. for some reason it's just not showing on any server i put in. i mainly want it on q2servers.com. I have done everything i can think of, even configured my linksys modem, done all the port forwarding ect, turned off the modem firewall but its just not working, and no one can connect to me either.

as a side note the AAS files are easy to create. i discovered the gladiator bots came with winbspc.exe which easily allow you to choose a map you want to create an AAS file for
