Maybe we could unleash the full fury of the BFG on those poor unsuspecting skilled players still playing on ACME.

Might give those map an opportunity to be played again.  I can easily picture  Puncher and Katsumoto having tears of joy at the idea of triggering the BFG.

And of course others having fit of whining rage

Ok, just thought it wouldn't bother too much since those maps are played maybe once a month. Might have made them more paletable for some players with a BFG.  Just need to crouch and be out of sight of the person firing and you avoid most of the damage.

That said back in the day when the map rotation on ctf servers was q2ctf1 to q2ctf5 over and over again BFG was part of CTf life.  To add diversity some servers just took singe player maps and added 2 flags to it and called it ctf.


I understand your decision, the style of ctf played these days as been established for years now,  moving ever more toward non ps non quad maps.

Just for the helluvit, I enabled BFG on q2ctf4 map only. this map isn't in rotation and you would have to vote it in anyway, so...go for it.

I do reserve the right to change weaponflags to 1025 without notice tho.

That's the spirit!    I think that map gets played once a month anyway so shouldn't be too many "leet" playing complaining.

I saw the title to this thread and i was kind of upset, then i saw who made it and i was of course no longer surprised. CTF1 is a good map, although it has kind of been ruined due to the fps cap on the server. I still like to play it but i hardly ever see it on the map rotation and yeah it never gets played. Because too many idiots would rather spam a map like pit. And id like to note that lm2rail, and the ride the dragon maps are on literally every other map vote, some 2 at a time. I dont know if you can adjust a probability that those 'come up' as a choice, because if you can, then those need to be set to like .00000000001%. not too many people want to play it and if they do chances are there are few enough people on the server they could easily mapvote it .

I have just started back playing so I won't say anthing...But I think of a BFG map like a chain map just half the fun... by the way Who is this hops guy I keep hearing his name pop up?
