I used to talk to KT quite regularly on the phone up til like 5? months ago, and I was thinking about texting him to play some games til I came across this post....guy was real cool, I dunno if it's true or not myself.  I know he was on facebook or whatnot so I loaded it up and searched his name and came across this:

I'm not sure if anyone knows what he looks like, but it has a pic on the page and it's a memorial fund for a Matthew Lambeth in Houston Texas and I'm pretty damn sure that's where he lived.  

If this is true, it's a huge loss.  Guy served our country and everything. Praying it's not him, but if so, RIP KT <3 .

EDIT:  If there isn't anything updated later today, I'll give his number a ring and see if I can get any info.

I heard about this first-hand from napalm last Friday evening. At the time he didn't know what had happened specifically. He just said he came on the server to play one game in memory of his brother and to inform anyone there who knew him (which was me).

I couldn't believe it at the time, as I had played kt two 1v1 games on the match server about two nights before and I scolded him that he needed to be around more, and he said he would be. How I wish that were true.

I'll miss him calling me "black man" and the rail-based ass-beatings he used to give me ALL. THE. TIME.

Ya, I thought he was ...I tried texting his number twice today and haven't gotten a response so I'm pretty sure this is true.  Was his brother(napalm)'s name "Robert Lambeth?".  That's who created the facebook memorial fund thingy as I'm sure you read if you followed my link, but if so, I mean, everything's pointing towards being true and I can honestly say that I'm really bothered now that it's looking to be true.  I'll try to text a few more times and see if I can get any response without being too annoying :/.

Robert is their brother, who is the one who informed napalm that kt had died. That info was told directly to me by napalm last Friday. Consider it confirmed.

I miss the conversations on Vent with KT. He always sounded like a good guy, someone who i could possibly like IRL. The matches we played in together and against each other. When he was on his game, he was VERY good.

TO KT, another Acme player gone before their time. Salute! You will be missed! Rest in Peace Brother!

thx everyone. tough times but the family is holding up ok. he loved this game and he really liked the community. the feelings were definitely mutual to all of you. One thing we would always talk about is q2 and the fact that we would be playing this game til there were no more servers left or the day we died. take care and i hope to play with you all soon.

I know we didn't particularly didn't get along, napalm, but I want to give my condolences to ya.  Your brother and I texted/talked with each other more than I did with half my own family.  I am normally indifferent towards death and it doesn't bug me at all, but I got a real sick to my stomach before this was confirmed and when it was confirmed, I broke down.  I mean, it bugged me knowing I just lost a great friend but it really dug deep knowing what you had to be going through as he was just one of them rare damn good guys that can uplift you by just being in his presence alone and there is no replacing that at all.  But, differences aside of course, If you need anything at all bud, and I can help in anyway possible, please let me know.  And again, sorry for this huge loss.

This is unbelievable... I'm almost speechless, and even though I only knew the guy from q2 and a few text messages I truly have a sick feeling to my stomach right now. I'm sure the guy left a mark wherever he went, as he certainly did with the q2 community. I wish I could hear him say "stanley mother-fuckin james" one more time on vent.

Sad news.  I also live in Houston.  KT was out in Katy about 30 minutes away.  Back when I used to play Q2 all the time and talked with him on vent during matches and such, we exchanged numbers and talked/texted.  A few times we tried to get together to go out trolling for trim, but it never happened.  Matt seemed like a very likable and genuine individual.  I regret never having met him IRL since we lived so close.  You will not be forgotten!

Facebook kept sending me out "People You May Know" for Matthew, but when I clicked it, it would go to someone deceased. I was racking my brain trying to figure out who it could be (I was assuming someone from WoW).

I remember when KT first showed up on the scene because I didn't like him. I had no reason to not like him but I was acting like a dick towards him. One day I wouldn't pick him for a PU and I was trying to get the other captain to do the same when KT challenged me to a 1v1. I accepted and won so I started acting like more of an ass. After that I started being friends with KT and felt so dumb about how I acted towards him that I wrote a big apology on here. When I came back for a short stint I found out that KT had gotten better, and I worse, but he ended up picking me for his team in the new league that was started. He would text me before games and heckle with me for a bit before I got online.

I am so sorry KT, you were a great guy and I am happy I apologized to you before you left. Sorry to you too napalm.

I loved talking with Shelly and lefty.  Both were great to talk to (especially Shelly for her webcam stunts  ).  KT was always a dick to me, however, which is why I feel different.

But alas, for respect to the dead, hope you're doing good in whatever plane of existence you're at, KT.  And due to respect for napalm, who is always a great dude, sorry for your loss.
