I know a few of you guys used to play WOW.  Does anyone still play it?

I haven't played since the expansion.  I really haven't played since S3 arena.   I went on this weekend and played a few hours and forgot how much fun it was.  I have a druid, a warrior, and a warlock.  I'm thinking about getting my druid to 80.

It would be cool to play with some people that like to PVP arena or WSG.  I don't have enough time to stay in a raiding guild anymore.  But I used to be unstopable playing WSG and arena on my resto druid.

It sucks now how they changed the talent trees so much.  Not being about to get swiftmend, insect swarm, and feral charge.  But I will agree that it was way too overpowered.  I could have the whole other team on me carrying the flag in WSG having that spec, and still cap the flag.

If you haven't played since the expansion like me.  You can sit in AV and get exp out the ass.  I played about 4 hours this weekend and got 3 levels.  The only thing that sucks is the new spells cost about 17g at this level so If you don't have money saved up you have to go out and do quests for gold to train.  I started out with 3k on my druid and now I have like 1500 left.  So i'm gonna run out before I hit 80.

I know having only 1 capture the flag area to play over and over might seem dumb but I actually enjoy playing that.  It would be really cool to get a full premade of people that know what they are doing.  I can pretty much win a game on my own running the flag but sometimes I run into a full premade and have troubles.

Yes I still play.  I got my pally and priest on ursin horde (smucher and omajsan).

come on over and I'll get you into my guild.  We lack a lot of pvpers but there are some pvp guild on the server as well.  I got stinking rival last season on my pally because my priest in 3's quit half way through the season and my spec got nerfed out the ass.  I'm gearing up my priest now since the pure classes seem to always do better.

You still need to quest for cash but try to make every wintergrasp, that will net you a bunch of gear pretty easily once you hit 80.

Oh, and I'm pretty much only a pvper now, I don't have time for the raids.

Why dual spec feral twice? Have you had better DPS vs the other?

I have done half my lvling to 80 (from 70) by tanking. I know you don't need to spec tanking to tank, but it sure makes it easier. Other spec is Kitty DPS (for soloing). I will stay 2 specs forever. I hate healing & boomkin

Yeah, I completely understand that... I went from 1-70 in a month as arms, then switched to protection when I hit 80...

After the people I was raiding with took the game too seriously, I pretty much bailed out on that and started another character on a PVE realm to get back to the fun parts of the game...

This was my warlock that I raided at lvl 60 on.  Did up to 8 bosses in Naxx at lvl 60.

I made my druid boomkin for a minute.  More PewPew less QQ.  I need to grind out a little gold to get some money to duel spec and have some left over.

Anyway so I can pretty much move from horde to alliance anywhere except I guess it has to be a PVE server.  You can't go from PVE to PVP but you can do anything else now on a x-fer.


All of my characters are on Duskwood which is PVE when I started WOW I hated PVPing and just wanted to raid.  But now I hate raiding really and just want to pvp.

You should have tried Rest pvp when you could get Insect swarm, feral charge, and swiftmend.  You would jizz your pants.  You could do dps.  Moonfire, insect swarm, wraith spam.  You could charge and spell interupt bash people.  Plus you had nature's swiftness and swiftmend for quick heals.  By the time I stacked up 400+ resillience at lvl 70 I could seriously have the whole team play defense in WSG and make it back with the flag pretty easily unless it was a well organized pre-made group I was against.

It's still ok now to resto pvp you just can't really kill anything but no one can kill you really from what it seems.  You go like 21 points in or maybe a few more in balance and get insect swarm then get improved tree since that would be like your new bearfrom in pvp because of the armor buff to it now.  So you go caster from if you need to help burst someone down with dps or you go tree in defense mode to take damage and heal stuff.

I have a few characters on PVP servers that I leveled to 50ish before the expansions.  I don't know how it is now but it used to blow ass trying to get to 60 on a pvp server.  You would spend more time corpse running than actually questing.  I'm sure once you get to max level and gear up it's fun to go gank people.  But there are times when you will be the ganked. 

So pvp servers are both fun and teh suck at the same time.

You still have those one assholes that sit in cities like Darkshire and gank you while you're trying to level. It takes a bit, but once you get a couple 80s near ya it's usually fun to camp them. I have been the asshole and the gank-e many times..

pvp servers were fun to level with in classic but they've lost their fun.  Now i don't see the difference since all pvp takes place in bg's and arena and wintergrasp.

I'll stick to my PVE realm for now and just go into some BG's. I've always got my 80 on a PVP server if I want to go gankin

The server I lvl'd my Drood (blackwing lair) was 3-1 horde to ally. There was a running joke on the forums that Ally don't exist on the server and any Horde talking about xfering to the server was told "Ally or go home"

Stormreaver has 1.1 ally to 1 horde, so it's kinda neat. Haven't really been killed much lvling though, mostly I ignore the horde, and they do the same. I'm not interested in area PvP, just lvling (BG's when I get board)
