I had worked on this previously and decided to finish it over the past few days. So, here it is!
Tried for a more traditional approach this time around, let me know what you think.

I'm sure neox can post better shots than these.  I don't remember if there's a command to disable the HUD.

Flag Room
There's a water exit behind where I am here that leads to the pool in mid.  Combat Armor is here on the ledge to the right.  Hyperblaster is off-screen left.  Power Screen (not shield) is in a tank off-screen right, lower left tank (shoot the front to open).


Main Gate


RL Room
Gate on left goes to RG and mid.


Midfield
There's some ammo and bandoliers in the water.  That's about it.


GL Room
Opposite path goes to RL.  Off-screen left is a catwalk that goes back to the base Combat Armor.



I think there's some item issues but the layout is pretty good.

Those shots look a little dark, I would try at least gl_modulate 2 if you're still using 1. Unless you like it dark

vid_gamma is 0.6

that might be why... i dunno... i've always been ass at tweaking client configs for display purposes. used to rock at server configs though.

If you have something better/nicer, I'm all ears (eyes).  Otherwise, shut the fuck up.

I use Rapace Pak 1 or 2 (can't remember) which has some nice skins for techs/armor/guns & alot cleaner textures. Also it seems like a few other forum go'ers have made their own pak's as well....

Talgo

Seriosly, it's as easy as...

1. Download a pak (to a download folder)
2. Extract to your Quake2/ctf folder as Pak1-Pak9
3. Play

make sure you like the pak you installed. If you don't just delete it and try a diff one.

What the fuck does it matter to you if my Q2 is ugly?  You only have to see it on my screenshots (which I don't post many of); I'm the one who has to play with it.

I said your q2 was ugly and you asked me to suggest something. I did in the other topic, but you never replied. I figured you either didn't see my post, or didn't know how to install a pak so I reposted here with an explaination. Now I see that you are just a douchebag so forget I said anything.
