Feel free to add maps here and create a poll the same way rusty has, ranking 1-5 (5=best, 1=worst). Rusty has graciously offered to average the polls in a few weeks to see what maps people like the best.

Please, NO SMACK!! And, please only post threads with polls if they do not already exist, no need to duplicate efforts.

i thought of this idea before but i figured out that since there about 100 possible maps for rotation, i didn't think much info could be generated. some of the poll are for maps that are obviously liked. people might not know the map names or even have the map on their comp, i guess those unfortunate maps get a 1 for worst. the effort is appreciated but i thought the map suggestion thread was going fine.
i'm all for contributing, but even I am getting intimidated from looking at all these polls.

a better approach would be to start one thread with all the maps in a the poll and multiple choice enabled, and have the players check which maps they want on rotation. but the same problem i stated above arises, some people havent played certain maps/don't know names, and it would be unfair for the map to get a 1 vote.

yea, this is getting a bit big, i hope people have the patience to go through and vote for all of them.  The map suggestion thread was turning into a smack thread and it was hard to go through and decipher what maps most people liked...

i probably could have left out more of the lfctf maps, but oh well

what if we tried a multiple choice poll in which people voted their top 3/4/5 least favorite maps?  at least then we'd identify the keepers and candidates for removal.

I thought of that, but had no idea how to do a poll with multiple votes.. if someone wants to do that, that'd be great, and it would be easier.

With the limitations in the board software you can't vote on more than 1 choice in a poll so Rusty is using the best way even though it's a lot of work.

You are limited to 10 options in a poll but I can increase that to whatever you need if y'all got other ideas.

I'm working on putting in screens for all the maps, since dumbasses like me probably can't remember which is which after killing all their brain cells with scotchy scotch scotch.  Let me know if i screw any of them up (ie. put the wrong screens in the wrong thread like i did with mintro).

I just got round to voting on these, and I have to admit to being a bit intimidated by the amount of polls, but I'm really glad I spent the time voting.  It's been fun to see how often I'm in the average for voting, whilst really suprising to see the results on the odd few where I was way off mark.

This is a good idea and while it may take a few weeks for most people to vote I think it's the most democratic way to pick a map list.  Never seen this happen before in all the time I've been playing.  Good idea Rusty.

meaning for the maps that are past the cutoff?  make a list, let people pick 1 map each, or vote add none?  and have the top few added?

All posts/polls having to do with the previous map voting have been locked to prevent any confusion with new polls.

Any new polls that might get started on maps. The other polls were used to develop map rotation we have now so to keep from confusing anyone if other polls do happen to get started I locked 'em. So sue me.   Or start a poll on a particular map if you like. Do something.

uh...no, Riles...lefty was a good player and a respected admin.

I guess you didn't know it but lefty was killed earlier this year and is no longer with us. We have lost him and Shelly both.
