Perhaps someone could see things in a different light with a recam in order to better their gameplay..
And maybe even the original demo owner could find a mistake or two they could correct in order to make a better time.

I think it's because this one is in hd and a larger file? Takes longer to download?

Just pause it and do some browsing for 3 minutes then it will be done downloading and smooth.

Hmmm. other than giving it a little extra time to download/buffer during YouTube's busy times, it plays smooth on all my computers.

Should I render the videos in high quality, as opposed to HD, from now on? Personally I like the HD, but if too many people have problems viewing vids in HD I could shy away from it.

Youtube in HD doesn't work for me.  Even if I DL the whole video before playing, when I try to play it, the video part doesn't update (audio runs fine though).

Just watched it in Normal Quality; framerate is still shit.  I watched a video that only had a Normal Quality and it was fine.  Seems to only happen with HD videos.

Not to disrupt the thread, but.....

do the hi res textures conflict with the server rules and/or anticheat, and if no where can I aqquire them?

I got the hi res textures from several different websites and I'm not sure if they conflict or not.
I use a client other than r1q2 to edit the videos as well as the textures and bright skins.
I installed all of that in a folder nowhere near my q2 folder as not to screw anything up for my online play. I just use all of it for the videos cause, well, it's pretty.

I use Rapace pak2 (DL from acmectf.com). I can't say that they are higher rez or anything, but they seem brighter & more apealing to the eyes
