1 - You need the quad version because  there aren't a lot of power ups and defense will be tight on that open map. Plenty of rail shots on the offense. You need a way for them to break in.

2 - Remove the jump pads in the middle because they are too close to the quad. If there is a quad fight, it's going to be annoying if you're dodging enemy fire and accidentally step on one and lose your chance to grab quad.

3 - I think it's an overall good map. You didn't try to overstock it or create too many twists and turns in it. I think people will enjoy it.

Again quad version with jump pads removed from middle and I think you've got a good map for this server.

PS - On several test flag runs, I kept hitting the jump pad and that was really annoying. So, I don't think it's good for O or D.

Other thoughts?

Quad version is available on pub to call mapvote. In console, type mapvote nxctf1q

The file with both versions is in map section of downloads now, http://acmectf.com/downloads/Maps/nxctf1.zip

Looks like it could be a good map with enough players. Try it out, people, we need some new blood.  grin

yesterday we even played it twice in a row. However the jump pads are useless imo, and you're an easy target when stepping on it.

It's a fun map for the most part...im all for new maps being played as well.  However, once again quad ruins it, like many other maps.  Quad might be ok on it if teams were balanced, but since that isn't often the case...quad just makes it cap out even faster.

i think it is obviously huge, scaling down would be nice ( im sure the map editor has no idea how to do that)

another option would be just to introduce more obstructions in the more open areas so it is harder to make a long clean shot

i think quad is ok on this map b/c, llike dakyne it is diluted by the size of the map


i really want to see the rail-bots like cyanide, twitch, or cleaner play the map, i'd be lmao.

overall i think its great for a first map
i hope strike makes more

I STILL haven't got to play this map.

Need admins that are willing to abuse their powers to be on more in the evening when I can play.  I've never seen a vote on this pass.  =(
