Behaviour on Q2 servers

This is a post I made to our private admin section of the forum:

Looks like we need to tighten up some on the Q2 servers, I've been getting more and more complaints and yowza was forced to take action too so that shows things are getting out of hand.

I realize that a certain amount of smack talk is part of the game and there is a fine line about what is too much but please start enforcing our general rules....good natured smack is ok but anything else is grounds for kick, temp ban, level ban or full ban as you deem needed.

Stacking of games, hiding flags, anything that screws up teams and the game is poor sportsmanship and should not be tolerated either. We do want to let games low as freely as possible but things are going from bad to worse.

All admins please start using your powers to put an end to the crap on all servers.

I normally wouldn't post this in public but I want no misunderstanding if anyone gets kicked and/or banned by an admin. If you need a refresher on what we will tolerate just check the Server Notices section of the forums for posts of our general rules of conduct we expect everyone to follow. Remember that a lot of time and money goes into providing you guys with a place to play and we only require a little decent conduct from players in return.

Please have fun in the servers let others enjoy it too, it's a game and respect everyone else playing with you.

Just in case anybody hates me more than they should, let it be known that I don't quit because I'm pissed off or being "0wn3d".
I love to play, and if my opponent follows "gentleman's rules", I wound never quit a game EVER, if i could help it.
Actually had some guy walk in when i was leading winning team, and I talked to him while I was playing.
He got pissed off, walked out, and called back 10 minutes later asking to talk to my district manager. I told him it was my shop and where to go.
About an hour later, I am loading computers into my biggest client's truck, and this guy shows up, creating a big scene.
Needless to say, when I see a car pull up, I disconnect. I know it sucks, and is lame, and all that stuff.
But for those who don't understand, you probably are not self-employed, and never will be.

For a post to have been read 187 times it doesn't appear to have helped with some people.

Those that find they can not connect don't need to contact me until they have taken some time off and calmed down. When you can respect others let me know and we'll discuss it.

Everyone is just attacking eachother, it's almost like some bad soap opera.

We have some individuals determined to kill our game by chasing off all of the reasonable. A constant struggle.

Paulwall was banned last Saturday, I'm just late posting.

He has said he would behave now but due to continual problems from him the ban will run for one month, until May 12th.

A few others are very close to joining him but I truly hope he will stay lonely.

Thanks to all who help make the server a fun place to play for everyone.

so now ppl that just want to play get ip banned right i log on i wait to join game when score even then i get switched team becouse a tie game with 2 scores each team and even number of players so i make +1 big deal ? i get kicked becouse it was stacking great job..... i guess .....

i asked you to swap teams. When you joines yes they were even teams but red team was up by almost 250 points ahead and blue needed the help more.   Red team went up by i believe 3 caps very fast after you joined.   I swapped you after asking you to go blue.  You did not so I forced you. Then you went spec, apparently because you were swapped to losing team i guess. I asked you why spec and  you typed "teams where even moron and tie score"  So i preceded to level ban you.

1. I couldn't read Diablo's post, not enough punctuation.

2. Bones sits on server and chooses to spec more often than play in order to watch over things. (and yes, Bones does enjoy playing)..  And "moron" is the thanks he gets? Not cool.

Bones is about as nice an admin as they come. Thx buddy for taking your time to help our server.
 If you have a complaint with him it is because of a misunderstanding one way or another. To think ill of him is just a mistake.

1: i didnt spec becouse he changed me to other team becouse i wasnt going to talk why when i was in team when i play i allways try to join lossing team even if i have to wait to do so

2: the moron part was not for bones was for hopes not u bones

Well i am sorry i misunderstood.  The moron comment was right after i typed in.  I thought it waqs directed at me. I do know its hard sometimes to see messages, and i usually aske 2 or 3 times but by then game would have been over. No hard feelings i hope.

Rough translation for alka:

1: I didn't spec because Bones force-teamed me. I also don't usually talk when I'm playing as I tend to focus on playing and not reading chat. On top of that I typically take one for the team and wait to join a team that is losing.

2: I didn't mean to call you a moron Bones, that was directed at hops.

Oh and I rarely read chat (as I said above) and didn't notice that you asked me to switch. If I had known I would most definitely switch to the opposite team because I love you Bones.
