the one with the wall of water in the middle, with a quad inside... and buttons in each base that give you the opportunity to trap the flag carrier.
I have permanent eye damage from looking at the amazingly bright textures on that map

This map is brighter than most, but it really isn't bright enough to hurt your eyes. Your brightness settings are too high if you ask me. turn your brightness down, get rid of your glowing skins, play the game like it should be played.

If anyone wanted to take the time to change the textures you have my complete aproval (also the sky needs to be changed, I think it may be the worst part).
There also may be a leak in the map, I notice that sometimes it lags (Especially to those who are still playing in software mode).

I wouldn't mind updating your map with your approval. I really like the trap in the base and the basic layout could make for some fast game play. I would probably replace the wall of water with a wall of beer though.

Speaking of big useless walls in the middle of a map..
How about taking that big middle wall out of Samurai Castles and adding a bridge and some water under it. (something close to Q2CTF2)..
Quad and PS's to be added at a later date. (or not.. would have to see how it played first.)
It can be called either "Stronghold Castles".. or "Samurai Opposition".

what's the purpose of the megahealth traps on Neon Nexus?
Has anyone ever successfully trapped an enemy and killed them with the lava button? Seriously... has it ever happened?
Anyone waiting at the button is a sitting duck for incoming rockets/rails.

i have only trapped yellowfire in those traps before. All other players seem to be fast enough that i can't trap them, but i get yf at least 5 times a game when we're both playing that map.

Beer - feel free to take my map and do with it as you wish. My suggestion would be to take the lava room idea out of it and just start over. I don't know if you've really looked at it, but the ramps don't quite line up, and you lose speed tring to go fast up them. Also there were complaints about no health in the main foorm (this was done to try to prevent camping there) and there are terrible spawns (4 is just no quite enough).
Like I said in my post before, the .qle file is gone, so all you have to work with is the .bsp. Not sure if this is a problem still, but it was when I tried to work on it about 2-3 years ago (Map is maybe 4-5 years old...)
