does an actor or musician act in the same movie or sing the same song every single time? they wouldn't win any awards for that, that's for sure. they lack what you call "range". i havent played alot of match games, MAIN reason being you guys play the same map OVER and OVER again, and when you do change the map, it's to bleteys. is it fair to say those 2 maps are the favorites of most of those on the match? yes. and it's also fair to say people tend to play well on their favorite maps. what makes cacophony and bleteys that much MORE of a ctf map, than any of the other ctf maps? and to think, those were actually were actually a couple of my favorite maps back in netdoor days.

i think they should just combine both servers. let every game be a pickup, and the map automatically changes after each game. we'll see who the real players are then, right?

match games to me now, because of the above, are boring and dull, and very predictable. also, very tense, i play this game to have fun. what's to stop the most useful techs from spawning on one team's side of the map, and that team dominates the other team full of players who are just as good? nothing. this is l-fire ctf.


that being said, out of all the match games I've played, I'm gonna say maybe about 20, or maybe more. I most definitely don't have a losing record.

Ok, this thread has become too stupid.

1 - A retired player (degen) is telling an active player (sly) that he sucks. How does that make sense? You haven't played in what? 2 years? What do you know of players now?

2 - Degen was good for his time as were those players in his list (better than you sly), but things change and some players are good now that were no names then (sly is a known name now - maybe not feared but known).

3 - One of you is an active forum player while the other is an active server player. Leave it at that.

This is the ctf community, and you know very well what it means. However, you may actually be too dumb to understand it (or is it too smart with that super high IQ). Sly is a known name meaning on the pub he is a good team player and is above average. I don't know how he would compete on the match, as I've never played with him there, but I assume he would do well there too. People know who sly is on the pub, and thus join teams accordingly to balance out the skill. Whether you guys want to admit it or not, sly has skill and is good.

Yes he is.  Sly's remarks has gotten him alot of negative attitudes including from myself.  As we've gotten older, I've agreed with Sly that I'm getting too old to be phased by the shit talking of others and we have reconciled.  Biggest problem I had with Sly??  We play too much alike.  We're at the same armor, same ps, same quad, same everything all freaking time.  We bump heads, and it often leads to negative remarks.  Solution?  I play defense whenever we're on a  team.  Easier and less bumping of heads.

i dont believe i posted a demo and whined about, i know i said something because i was playing against you at the time, and also discussing it with elder, speqz and a few others. Anyways, i remember kicking your ass quite a few times, but the "oh i wasnt trying" excuse kept coming up, i also remember your clan not letting me play a match because i used r1q2 instead of q2a which was a pos client that had a ton of flaws.

So i guess we were both just awful at ra2.

And about q2a, it wasnt a viable client, evilpope is a moron, to be good with q2a u needed a decent video card, since i used onboard video it lagged me down, hence why i used r1q2 because its smooth.

I personally agree with T!'s comment above.
 For me, I try to always be on the opposite team of SLY to frustrate and occasionally frag him where ever posible. He in turn hunts me down everytime I have any level of victory to punish me.
 He makes the game more challenging and thus, fun.
