Mouse tweaks and settings

Can you tell me where I can get them? All I know to do is to set my windows mouse to FAST and to up the speed in the basic q2 game for the mouse.
 I know about sensitivity but is there a way to control how fast you "turn" and to "smoooth out" the movement.

yep i need that too, my current mouse i use is ball mouse (and i still ownzz0rz!) anyways, lol, my ball mosue suks because its too rough, can someone tell me how to smooth it, so it will be like a optical mouse, although ill be getting an optical mouse in like 2 weeks.

I've always used a BFH.  For those that don't know what a BFH is, "Big F'ing Hammer"

Yowza.. As far as helping to smooth the mouse :

If you are using a PS/2 mouse you can change the PS/2 Rate in the "motion" part of the mouse control center in control panel. (default is 100, you can change it to 200)
If you're using a usb mouse, I don't think the PS/2 rate helps.

To help smooth the mouse in Q2 you can try set m_filter "1" in console. This really helps but you might have to up your sensitivity by .5+ as it seems to make movement a tiny bit slower along with smoothing it out.

Neither of the above changes are permanent so you have nothing to lose but time. If you decide to keep using the m_filter command you will need to add set m_filter "1" to your autoexec.
m_filter "0" turns it off if you want to try it in game and decide you do not like it.

PS. if this was the smack section I would tell you that I use the m_filter and own everyone here with a 95% rail efficiency. But it's not, so I won't.

I know this sounds pretty basic, but I thought I remember you saying you had a G5 yowza? (best mouse ever, what i use!)

If so, did you play with the acceleration slide in the logitech mouseware utility?

You might also wanna adjust your m_pitch and m_yaw in game or in your config.
