So uh... why are we rippin on slasher's looks?  Regardless of appearances, he's a damn fine q2 player.

Frankly, yellowfire, I'm ashamed of you.  Ever since you learned not to button up your polos you think this has earned you the right to rip on someone's appearance.

Honestly, so we probably won't be having a LAN.  It's not ENTIRELY slasher's fault.  We've had ample opportunity to reorganize.  Legend and I tried to make some things happen, no one seemed interested.  The possibility of a LAN is not entirely out of the question, but we need to express some serious interest before I financially back it, and Legend puts in the time and energy.

I have been to many, many lans over the years.? Trust me, the summer time is "not" my favorite time to do this...

First, it's freakin HOT, second, it's friggin HUMID, third, it got friggin HOTTER!!!? Summer lans generally are fun, but when the cooling fails to keep up, and you get stuck in a room where it is over 85 degrees it's just not as much fun.

I mean, you can always put more clothes on when it gets a little chilly, but unless you wanna see some ugly folks taking off their shirts, and the stench of 3 day old armpit stink, uuugggghhhhh.? Been there, done that, Ain't no fun!!!

The best lans I have been to has been in the winter months.? Trust me, when you are inside with 30 or more computers pumping out heat, it is really nice to open some doors and windows for some cool air.

The "over all" best time for a lan, in my humble opinion, is from Jan 2nd to Jan 5th.? Or that ballpark anyways.

Most adults can take a few extra days off at the first of the year, if they plan for it.? As for the rug rats, well, that would get them out of our hair, for those of us that still have any.? Lol? Just kidding, most people could get the time off if they? plan for it.

I know I could bring few good NC players that still play Q2 along with me.? I do have a 30 ft Winnebago parked out back waiting for another road trip...? It makes a hell of a lanparty mobile!!!? And, it has proven itself attending many lans over the years...? I used to go out of my way for a good lan in 98' thru 2000 with a small group of friends.? With 5 or 6 folks chipping in for gas and food, it really wasn't a bad way to go...? Being single also helped!!!  No girlfriend, or wife, asking "just where the hell are you goin with those people?  And why am I not going with you!"...  I've seen this happen, not very pretty...

oh yeah, if ya wanna laugh, go look at this pic...? I am in the pic, third from the right, standing, glasses and a hat looking like I just woke up.? In fact, I hadn't slept in the last 48 hours at the time the pic was taken...

That pic was taken in early 98', I think...? It was a 5 day 4 night lan and it was a blast, the group in the pic is all that made it the distance.? Others were sleeping on the floor under tables, chairs, and other nameless places.? Always remember at a lanparty, SLEEP IS FOR THE WEAK!!!? I have other pics of different lans I was part of back in the days, I will post some more soon.? The one lan had well over 50 people in attendance!? That was AWESOME!!!? I never heard so many people cursing and yelling!? Aaahhh, the good old days......

If you guys want a LAN within the next 5 weeks, make it in Rockport, ME. If it's going to be from September on, make it in NYC. I will in no way contribute any money to said LAN. lets just say that this summer, delta and kt are gonna meet up with riles and I and maybe a few others (to get dominated), if anyone would be interested (this is prolly gonna be in ohio) private message me and lemme know, this will most likely be at our house when we move out in summer, so space is limited, Ethernet/internet connection wont be a problem, putting you up for night on a bed/couch, will be.
