He's obviously talking about the spanish inquisition, the crusades, the treatment of native americans and yadda yadda yadda. This is common banter thrown around mostly by special interest groups. Like I've said I've heard it all before. Also like I've said, if this is not the case let him say otherwise instead of giving the benifit of the doubt to someone that thinks the all religion causes is hate, war, and oppression.

Another thing to point out is that Christianity and Judaism are the only 2 major world religions that have been around for thousands of years. Islam is closer to 1,500 if that. I'm pretty sure that hindu and budhism are even younger. The polytheism that started hindu and ultimately budhism, and arguably Islam, is not currently a major world religion. You can argue that hindu is still the same as it was thousands of years ago however I challenge you to show a single isntance of the Hindu religion causing hate, war, or oppression. Other religions like the greek religion and the romans are old enough however not a major world religion if practiced at all. Same with Nordic religions and the ancient egyption religions, which had evolved towards monotheism similar to judaism by the end of the reign of the Pharos. And the same with the Anglo and the Saxon religions, not to be confused with the anglo-saxons. Also the Gaelic religions are not included. So please don't try to tell me that he's not refering specifally to a judeo-christian God.


Now the only reason why I have my foot in my mouth is because I'm defending Christianity. No there's not a literal war on Christians however it's become accepted behavior to mock, denounce, or otherwise defame christianity much like "Oh my God" has become a very common part of our dialect. So you may not notice it because it's acceptable to make fun of christians yet abomidable to make fun of Jews, Muslims, or Buhdists. (hindu's left out because of how funny the Vishnu Jokes are in the Simpsons). Let's say for example I point out that when I started reading into an english translation of the Koran I stopped in disgust on the book dedicated to the proper way to beat your wife. Anyone who defends this statement and calls me a biggot will be praised or at least left alone. I defend my religion and I get someone that's not even as funny as the Cleaner (lol learn to take a joke btw) to bash me. Explain to me about foot in my mouth again.
