I'm new here and not sure of the previous locations nore the future locations not mentioned on acmectf since the last time I checked.

One thing I do know is that between my friends and I there would be quite a few people to show up to a q2 LAN in the Pittsburgh area. I also have quite a few PII's that run supprisingly fast running win95 which could be setup for anyone in need of a computer. As long as nobody shoots out any kind of spyware or provides any kind of internet connection, these would make perfect dumbies for anyone who wants to join in.

There've been quite a few UT and CS only lan parties in the area. Personally I beleive these 2 games scarred the online gamming community which has not since recovered. A q2 lan party would really rejuvinate the gamming area because at that point we're first of all dealing with a game that requires skill (as compared to CS) and there's barely any machines that don't run q2. (which insidentally the demo can play along side the Full version without a hitch to avoid any legal problems)

Anyway I've only dreamed of q2 lans and you guys have actually been to several so I don't know why I'm preaching features to the fragging chior. I just really want to hold one, hopefully anually, in this area. Is there any support from you guys?

I'm still trying to get in contact with the guy that I was talking about before. I think he's mad at me because I was stealing some of his webspace without him knowing. However it wasn't much at all so he'll get over it.

In the mean time let's figure out who wants to be the game admin. We can run it dedicated on one of my old PII's. Also are we going to have the same Acme maplist or can we include maps from old-as-dirt's site?

I know the available audience, especially from this site, is limited. I've been to 4 and 5 person lan parties and it's at least a start to keep an alternative available for when the real AcmeLan isn't.

2. let's do this already, a western PA lan party sounds like fun, you get to all meet me w00t! i can help set it up, i know how to set up lan and everything, and i'm in pittsburgh so it's easy easy for all of you that have posted saying you're in ohio or pa to get here, it's a really short drive or whatever from ohio, i go there pretty often to see my aunt and uncle and cousin and second cousin. tho my home comp is fux0rd right now so i'd be able to help but not play  for now at least, i'm working on it, might take it to someplace to get it fixed up, because i'm busy w/ schoolwork right now (nearing the end of the school year, lots of shit to do ) but i'm sure i could get squeaky to come if enough people come to the lan, but he's busy with work up in seattle, so that's a maybe, i might also be able to get some of my friends to come up and try out q2, and meet the guys, so that means BE ON YOUR BEST BEHAVIOUR is this happens
